This is how you set up the cornhole tournament

Final score, not every round

In the setup the rating remains on points. The final score is entered, for example 21:14. You count the shots with deductions at the track. Win 1, loss 0, no draw. Criteria: points, direct comparison, point difference. If you play best of 3 in the knockout round, you enter the games you won, for example 2:1.

Lanes, blind draw and what doesn't work

You create each lane as a field, even if they are all on the same field. A game up to 21 takes about 15 to 20 minutes. With blind draw, you draw the partners before the start and create the pairs as teams. You create double elimination under structure: after the first defeat, a team moves to the losers' bracket, and when you create it you decide whether the Grand Final has a reset game. Pools and a simple knockout round work the same way.

Typical tournaments

01

Bar and club evening

Registration open, entry fee online or at the counter. Pools of four, then the best in the knockout round. The display on the television shows the next train.

02

Summer party and company event

Doubles as teams, one game per game, short slots. The tournament page hangs on the bar as a QR code.

03

Blind draw

You draw the partners beforehand and create the couples as teams. From then on everything works like with fixed doubles.

Here's how to set it up

Four simple steps and the basic structure is in place.

  1. 1

Keep scoring on points. Win 1, loss 0, draw 0.

  2. 2

Criteria: points, direct comparison, point difference.

  3. 3

Create each lane as a field, with a number. Lane 4 is not the bar.

  4. 4

Slot to about 20 minutes. Best of 3 finals get a longer slot.

Cornhole Tournament Questions

Do I enter every round?

No. The final score, about 21:14. You calculate the deduction rating per shot at the track.

Is there double elimination?

Yes. Under Structure you create it as a class. One defeat sends the team to the losers bracket, the second is elimination. The reset game in the Grand Final is a choice when investing.

Is blind draw possible?

Yes, if you draw the partners beforehand. You then create the pairs as teams. There is no built-in partner ticket generator.

Are statistics such as points per round kept?

No. Victory and final score are counted. You manage points per round and player ratings yourself.

Do the players see their path?

Yes. The tournament page and the display on the television show the next games with lane and time.
